The objective of the AERO Structures & Materials Technical Committee is to foster the continuing development of science and technology related to aerospace structures and materials, both within ASME and in collaboration with other professional societies. The committee supports dissemination of significant technical information through its publications and through organization of workshops and conferences (see Technical Conferences). It also recognizes meritorious contributions in the field of structures and materials through a Best Paper Award. The technical committee promotes liaison and interaction with other ASME Division committees with similar interests in structures and materials.
