The Computers and Information in Engineering (CIE) Division actively organizes an annual conference of interest to members of the CIE Division. This year's conference will be held August 30 through September 2, 2009 in San Diego, California USA as part of the International Design Engineering Technical Conferences/Computer and Information in Engineering Conference (IDETC/CIE).

CIE members are invited to submit proposals for special topics at CIE 2009. Special topics include technical sessions, poster sessions and panels. About half of the technical sessions at CIE 2008 were special sessions, which proved to be an important part of the conference. Instructions for submitting special topic proposals are here:

Proposals should be sent to the CIE 2009 Program Chair, Shuichi Fukuda, at shufukuda@gmail.com, by November 1, 2008.
