The Honors and Awards Committee is responsible for seeking and coordinating recommendations from EED members concerning persons and papers for honors and awards. The Honors and Awards Committee:

• Initiates, reviews, and submits recommendations to the Executive Committee for the Dixy Lee Ray Award and other ASME honors and awards;
• Forwards nominations to the ASME Honors Committee; and
• Administers the EED appointee to the ASME Honors Nominating Committee with the approval of the Executive Committee.

The Honors and Awards Committee is seeking nominations for next year's Dixie Lee Ray award. Next year the award will go to an outstanding contributor in the field of environmental engineering from a non-technical field. All nominations must be submitted by Sept 30. Please submit nominations to the Honors and Awards Chair.
