Honors & Awards

Recognition of outstanding achievement in engineering is one of the major objectives of ASME. Through its programs of honors and awards, ASME recognizes outstanding contributions to the art and science of engineering.

DIVISION AWARDS

Graduate Student Fellowship
To encourage technical research related to the field of information storage and processing systems, among Mechanical Engineering graduate students across the world. The ISPS graduate student fellowship will be awarded once each calendar year. View more information on this award.

Graduate Student Conference Scholarship
Five graduate student scholarships are offered for the ISPS Conference. The conference scholarship offers free of charge enrollment to the conference, all handouts, and catered meals. All graduate students who wish to be considered for the scholarship are required to submit a brief (1 page maximum) description of the student’s thesis research and a brief statement of the applicability of their thesis research to the research areas of the ISPS Division.

Procedure: Interested students need to submit a letter (e-mail) of intent and the brief document described above by March 31st of each year to the chair of the awards committee.

Note that there is a limit of two graduate students per academic advisor for the the Conference Scholarships.
