High Level Waste and Fuel Cycles Committee

Mission Statement:
The mission of the ASME Nuclear Engineering Division Technical Committee 5 on high level waste and nuclear fuel cycle, is to promote and institute an environment conducive to producing work and R&D in the fuel cycle arena that is compatible with the needs of organizations that may pursue a modified open cycle or a closed fuel cycle.  Also the committee will serve to promote nuclear energy and more specifically reprocessing/recycling and nuclear waste management and final disposal via international conferences in the areas of fuel cycle.
 
Objectives of the committee
a- Diffuse, transfer information among committee 5 members
b- Outreach scientists, engineers, students
c- Explain and advertise what the fuel cycle is, what high level waste is
d- Advertise events, classes, webinars...
