The Website Committee of the Technology and Society (T&S) Division provides direct web page coding and layout support to the members of the T&S General Committee.
The membership of the Website Committee comes from members of the various T&S committees. The Website Committee members work as a team to ensure their respective parts of the T&S web-space effectively supports their committees' mission.
Membership Any member of a T&S committee is welcome on the Website Committee. Members contribute by either coding web pages, or providing content for such pages, or even providing feedback on the effectiveness and messages of the web pages of the T&S Division.
The Website Committee is a functional committee that is also ideal for junior program committee members wishing to make a practical contribution to their committees.
Additionally, although people with demonstrated coding skills are always welcome, this committee can also accommodate "beginners" (either young or old) who wish to learn more about website maintenance via real coding projects.
Projects & Issues In general, the T&S Division web pages will be maintained using the resources provided by ASME. An overarching goal will be to generate pages that meet relevant internet standards, while addressing legacy issues associated the backup website support available via ASME International in New York City, USA.
