Technical
Committees
All
members are encouraged to participate in committee meetings,
held during the FED Summer Meeting and the Congress, and
to pursue their interests by organizing symposia and other
divisional activities.
Both
the Society and the Division provide an infrastructure which
makes it simple to organize symposia, forums or panel discussions.
Members who are organizing their first symposium or forum
will usually work with an experienced organizer.
The
Fluids Engineering Division is subdivided into six
Technical Committees :
- Fluid
Mechanics
- Multiphase
Flow
- Fluid
Applications and Systems
- Micro and Nano
Fluid Dynamics
- Computational
Fluid Dynamics
- Fluid
Measurements and Instrumentation
Many Divisional activities are jointly sponsored
by these committees. Each has a chair, a vice-chair,
a secretary, an honors representative, as well as other
officers selected every two years from the membership. The
officers help consolidate plans for conferences, symposia,
and provide the principal interface with the Society for
most of the membership.
