K-15 Committee
Transport
Phenomena in
Manufacturing and Materials Processing
Welcome to the ASME K-15
Committee home page. The committee’s mission is to promote in-depth understanding and effective utilization of transport phenomena in materials processing and manufacturing. These phenomena are of paramount importance in a wide variety of applications such as nanostructured materials, laser processing, and biomaterials. A crucial objective of the committee is to identify and address the key scientific and technological issues. By organizing focused technical sessions and panel discussions in conferences, the K-15 committee strives to continue its leadership role via providing an international forum for researchers in related technical fields. Furthermore, it aims to enhance interactions facilitating rapid dissemination of new achievements in theoretical, computational and experimental studies and in the domain of applications. New members are especially encouraged to assume an active role in the Committee functions.
