K-18 Committee
Low Temperature
Heat Transfer
Mission
Members of the K-18 Committee of ASME’s Heat Transfer
Division are concerned with heat and mass transfer
phenomena and design for equipment and processes
operating below room temperature. Such applications
are commonly found in Arctic regions, cryogenics,
and refrigeration technologies. The purpose of the
K-18 Committee is to further our understanding of
low-temperature heat and mass transfer, thus improving
the quality of existing devices and making new ones
possible.
