Arpad L. Nadai Medal
The
Nadai Medal is awarded annually on the nomination of the
Materials Divisions Nadai Medal Committee to recognize
distinguished achievements and contributions to the field
of engineering materials. The medal takes its name from
Arpad L. Nadai, one of the pioneers in the field of materials
engineering, who contributed particularly in the areas
of plasticity, fatigue, and high temperature behaviour.
The Nadai Medal was established as the Nadai Award in
1975 and elevated to Medal status in 1998, after the establishment
of a significant endowment fund for its support.
