JOINT SOCIETY AWARDS
A. O. Schaefer Award The A. O. Schaefer Award was established in the late 1980's by ASME, the Materials Properties Council, and the American Society for Testing and Materials, to honor Adolph O. Schaefer, who provided extraordinary professional service involving ASME Codes & Standards activities, as well as advancing the science of materials engineering. The award is bestowed in recognition of eminent achievement or distinguished contribution in the areas of codes and standards and materials engineering. It consists of a $1,000 honorarium, a certificate and plaque.
SOCIETY AWARDS
Pressure Vessels and Piping Medal The Pressure Vessels & Piping Medal established in 1980, is bestowed to an individual for outstanding contributions in the field of Pressure Vessels and Piping Technology including, but not limited to, research, development, applications or teaching. It consists of a $1,000 honorarium, a medal and a certificate.

STUDENT CONTESTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
PVP Student Paper Contest This contest is held annually at the PVP Conference. Awards for the best graduate and undergraduate papers are presented.
Robert F. Sammataro Scholarship A $5000 scholarship is awarded in $1000 increments for each year up to a total of 5 years in the memory of Robert F. Sammataro (2002-2006). |
