Conferences:
The Solar Energy Division annually organizes a technical
conference, the International Solar Energy Conference, which
is held in the spring. This conference attracts national and
international participants and features paper presentation,
keynote speakers and panel discussions. The Solar Energy Division
also sponsors technical sessions at the ASME International
Mechanical Engineering Conference and Exposition and the International
Energy Conversion Engineering Conference.
Competitions:

Splash
A
student competition for designing, building and competitively
testing manned solar powered boats is sponsored by the
Solar Energy Division. Called the SOLAR SPLASH, this competition
draws entrants from around the United States and Japan.
