The Textile
Engineering Division, nominates people for awards that are
available to ASME members. The Edward
Robinson Schwarz Lectureship Award recognizes major
contributions in the field of textile technology, science
or engineering that deserve special mention and recognition.
The 2002 Schwartz Lectureship has been awarded
to Dr. Mansour Mohamed, in recognition of his tremendous contribution
to the textile engineering. Dr. Mohamed will deliver his award
lecture on Textile Composites in conjunction with TED's Textile
Composites Session at the 2002 ASME International Mechanical
Engineering Congress and Exposition in New Orleans, Louisiana,
November 17-22, 2002.
