T&S Meetings
ASME does not
fund travel by members of the T&S Executive
Committee and General Committee to its two annual
national meeting. Therefore T&S Division
administrative work will be accomplished by email
and occasional conference call. There will
generally be a business meeting for T&S at the
two annual meetings which other interested T&S
members can participate by conference call.
Members-at-Large are welcome to these meetings or
participate by conference call.
Our primary conference sessions are held at each
year's IMECE, where we host between
two to five sessions. T&S is part of the
E&TM
Group, which publishes a biannual
newsletter. The newsletter is sent to ASME
members who have chosen T&S as a primary or
secondary technical division.
Additionally, T&S leadership can now reach all
ASME members aligned with T&S (choices 1 to 5)
via batch email, if 1) ASME has a current email
address and 2) the member wants to receive such
email. The "products" of T&S - creation and
dissemination of technical content and issuance of
T&S position statements largely come from the
committees that conceive and plan activities.
Participation on these committees affords the
committed professional the opportunity to bring his
or her ideas to a forum where they will be heard and
translated into thoughtful action.
